uh....when you have 10 minions up BotM should be a 25% sac now...not exactly spammable...

of course vamp horrors MIGHT give you enough health to make it spammable...

In my opinion, they did this because MMs were nucking futs in alliance battles. It almost seemed that the winning team was the one with the best mm.

but there were already plenty of ways to destroy an MM including interupting, barrage+judge's insight, ray of judgement, signet of creation, & verata's aura.

You have to agree, that while being a MM is awesome, it was just overpowered.
Once you had a large army going, you could outdamge anything, Nukers and SS couldnt even come close to your damage output.

This is basicly the same as what happend to the Nukers with the AoE update. Sure, I dont like it either, I was a full time MM, but I guess it just became harder... Wich is good, cause I'm looking forward to a challange.

but only TEN??? com-on. could at least be 15, not 10. I just feel wrong leaving that many bodies behind

I'm not too broken up about it. Just means less things body blocking with their brainless chunks of meat for bodies. Bye, bye MM. I'm not losing any sleep over this nerf.

I just started a MM and was having a lot more fun with it than any of my previous characters (I don't know why I didn't make one before, Zookeeper necros were my favorite class in Diablo 2 as well). This nerf makes me sad

I didn't understand the nerf either.

I was able to destroy an expert MM easily even during the FPE, why the nerf?

Maybe Anet don't want everyone to be forced to run at least 1 anti-mm skill in their build.

The minion master was easy mode, come on. Not just easy but crazy easy. The changes look perfectly sane to me with vampiric minions and the golem coming along. If you're worried about saccing for 10 minions, pack Aura of the Lich + Blood Renewal instead of the golem and you should be good to go. Spare corpses? Consume Corpse them or pack Wells... it's not like we're short on corpse skills.

You lose the ability to maintain a large army of undead. I don't play GvG nor PvP so I don't really know the massive rammifications of this in those areas. However, the ability to constantly cast verata's with 3 or less strong minions is pretty good. Lasts 10 seconds, but a recharge time of 0 is sweet. I'm guessing the servants means minions, fiends and horrors. Does this include the golem? If not, 3 fiends and a golem with virtually unlimited VS means long lived minions. Otherwise 2 fiends + a golem and VS still makes a good long lasting support group. As a PvE player, a lot of my minions die from inactivity, so I still lose most of my armies without bodies to replenish them. What that should do is decrease or eliminate the degeneration of the minions. That would be better.

it does work great..i love the fact that i can heal ALL of minions anywhere they are and the ability to spam botm..say goodbye to the so called n/has to be mo build...tee hee

Just did the first mission in Factions where you have to defend Menhlo and Master Togo... My MM owned it. The only modifications I made were to add some more corpse exploits:

Consume Corpse
Putrid Explosion

When you have 10 minions up you can alternate between these two. Obviously you need to use care w/ Consume Corpse since you may end up someplace you don't want to be.

Overall, the mission was a cakewalk because even when held to 10 minions a MM still adds a tremendous amount of damage output.

Can't wait to cap / unlock vamp horror on my MM. That should be fun since it will help offset the BotM sacrifices during battle.

Its way to early to be whining about the changes. Just because you can't fill the screen with summons like you used to.... WAHHHHH.

MMs had it easy in the Prophecies world. Get a couple friends with pets to start your ball rolling and then the others could almost sit back and watch the fun. MMs were the only class that could nuke and tank at the same time.

In Factions, they've added two new types that have greater power - is it really a huge loss? No one konws yet for sure. Play through the weekend, see how being a MM has really changed then come back and make valid points.

For all those forum based experts (you know the ones that copy popular builds and pretend to be in game experts): don't bother being a MM its too tough for you. Go 55 mo or something.

I played MM before and I know how you feel on this huge nerf. I think too for 10 is too short(15 is correct). But I saw something behind this nerf: Alliance battles. Anet nerf it for this. A necro with almost 20-25 (exclude Flesh Golem) minions in a battle is a little overpowered. If you blame for only PvE and restore like before, Alliance battle players will blame at their side to nerf MM.

10 minions blows i am used to holding 30ish on average. i can hold and maintain 10 with my lvl 8 necro >_>

Maybe MMs will start thinking about how to make summons more effective instead of how to get large armies...

i have an MM but im not that upset by it...there are plenty of corpse spells i can now use that i couldn't b4 due to the need for more minions...such as putrid explosion or soul feast
